School Council

School Council have had a very informative meeting with Mrs Partridge, the Trust's safeguarding lead. We discussed how to best keep children safe in school and have come up with some actions and projects the School Council can lead on- watch this space!

What fantastic feedback we have received following the School Council's meeting with Mrs Partridge (Trust safeguarding lead). "I just have to mention how impressed I am with Lansdowne’s School Council! They are a lovely group of children who take turns and asked appropriate questions! Some great suggestions came from them all today!"
Well done to our amazing school council members - what fantastic role models they are!

We meet at least every fortnight. A different person runs the meeting each time and we also have a different person taking notes each time.

Two children from each class is elected to be their school council representative at the beginning of Term 1 and they attend each meeting. They also ask their class for their opinions and ideas and feedback at the meeting so they are the 'voice' of their class.

You will find here what we will be focusing on throughout the year.

Projects we are currently working are:

Promoting Anti-bulling week

Promoting Children in Need by delivering a whole school assembly

The School Council have been focusing on effective learning and how we can become  better learners using our learning muscles. They have made Lansdowne's very own super learning hero to help all children be successful with their learning.
